Welcome to Mindful Relaxation!
A course to mobilize your inner resources...
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is a training to empower participants to take an active role in the management of their health and wellness.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) is designed to teach mind and body awareness techniques to help participants live with physical or psychological symptoms due to stress, pain, or illness.
It is based on the methods of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD - a scientist, best-selling author, and meditation teacher. He is a professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the author of several books, including "Full Catastrophe Living" and "Wherever You Go, There You Are." He has also been featured on the Bill Moyer's special, "Healing With the Mind."
The tools taught in MBSR - body awareness, meditation, and mindful movement - can help one feel better, sleep better, and increase enthusiasm for life and work. One can feel more alive, joyful, and gain immediate access to powerful inner resources for healing.
This program has been conducted at over 200 medical centers in the U.S. and internationally. In countless studies, the statistics have shown 40 - 60% improvement in helping thousands of participants to live and cope with chronic pain, illness, and the stresses of everyday life. It has played a major part in promoting and sustaining their health, healing, and overall well-being.
Mindfulness is the practice of cultivating non-judgmental awareness in everyday life.
Mindfulness develops the potential to experience each moment, just as it is, no matter how difficult or intense, with greater serenity and clarity.
